The 4ICP will add 10MM/d gas injection capacity to KPO’s facilities, enabling incremental liquids production from the Karachaganak field. This major project was sanctioned in April 2019. In this respect, there was a Q&A open session with a group of 13 local employees who have been working with KPO for several years and have been exposed to different working experiences, including international assignments and activities expanding their professional skills and knowledge.

KPO General Director, Giancarlo Ruiu, said: “To date, KPO Partners have invested nearly $30 billion into the development of the Karachaganak field. The established close relationship with the RoK Authorities guarantees that KPO’s long-term development plans match the RoK national agenda. This is the key to continued successful development of the Karachaganak project and the associated growth of the regional and national economy.

“KPO has a tremendous potential thanks to the well-coordinated teamwork, competence and unrelenting aspiration of the national staff of KPO. Our priorities remain the same - maintain the highest production and safety performance, whilst maximizing the value for RoK, stakeholders and communities”, added Giancarlo Ruiu.

At the end of the day KPO and KMG concluded that the meeting allowed an open and positive exchange of ideas, and an opportunity to renew commitment with the success of KPO as one of the major Operators in RoK.
