AKSAI, Western Kazakhstan Oblast, 1 October 2003 - Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) will have a significant presence at this year’s KIOGE Exhibition and Conference that will be held in Almaty on 7-10 October 2003.

The recently appointed KPO General Director Paolo Campelli will head the KPO delegation, and HR Controller John Winston will give a presentation on KPO nationalisation programme during the conference.

This year, KPO’s 77 square meters exhibition stand will feature four main themes: the start of the first oil from new production facilities at Karachaganak, KPO achievements in personnel nationalisation and vendor development programmes as well as environmental protection and social initiatives.

According to Kuat Dombai, KPO PR and Communications Manager, “KIOGE is the largest oil and gas event in the Caspian region and Central Asia, and we hope to follow up on our success at KIOGE 2002. We look forward to welcoming all visitors to our stand No. 986 located in Pavilion 9 C of the Atakent Exhibition Centre”.
