ASRA is the highest recognition for corporate reporting in Asia. The contest has been conducted by CSRWorks International, a non-profit organisation in Singapore.

Nearly 100 senior business leaders from 15 countries attended the awards ceremony hosted by the British High Commissioner in Singapore H.E. Scott Wightman. The event was attended by dignitaries from diverse fields including academia, non-profit, embassies, trade associations and advocacy organisations.

About 400 entries were received from 16 countries for 17 award categories. An independent judging panel decides the awards following rigorous criteria. The judging process involved multiple rounds of screening and evaluations to identify the very best in each award category. Furthermore, the finalists’ reputation among stakeholders was considered in determining the winners.

Rajesh Chhabara, managing director at CSRWorks International and the creator of the Awards, said in his opening speech: “Sustainability reporting has become an important tool for investors and stakeholders to assess a company’s full value. High quality reporting and disclosure allows organisations to communicate how they manage their economic, environmental, social and governance impacts, risks and opportunities to create value in the short, medium and long term.  KPO’s report demonstrates the company’s leadership in sustainability reporting and a deep sense of commitment to transparency, disclosure and value creation.”

KPO was the only company from Central Asia that participated in this contest.
